Already did... It could be that previous versions of ISR had a purpose with those 7 different mineral piles, but didn't work as planned - which may be why only one of them was included in the latest version... Still, as I have made 6 new styles out of the first custom mineral pile, (possibly made by Zephyris - still awaiting is response to my pm), I can always use them in other set I plan to include in my own OpenTTD-game...

Well, been in contact with mart3p, and got the following response; Quote: The mineral pile graphics in ISR are copper ore coloured. The other 6 colours (coal, iron ore, clay, gravel, limestone and sand) are produced by recolouring the iron ore graphics using recolour sprites. Colours are mapped as shown below... Attachment:

I wrote; So I take it that the palette order is somehow coded into the nfo to generate alternative colours for mineral piles? Quote: Yes that's pretty much it, details can be found here if you are interested. Note that if you are changing the mineral pile graphics in ISR, the re-colouring won't work unless the new graphics use exactly the same colours as the original ones. Although, if you are going to start making changes, you could also change the re-colour sprites to suit the new graphics. ...and; Quote: If are trying to add them to ISR, are you working with a decompiled copy of 0.8.2? The source code is publicly available here, and is fully documented so would be much easier to work with than the NFO from a decompiled GRF. In particular have a look at this file where the re-colouring sprites are defined. I need to find out who actually made the mineral pile version I'm using, and I'm still waiting for a response from Zephyris... If it's him and I can get the required permission, perhaps this set of mineral piles can be coded and used instead of the original rubbish...

those definitely are different, rendered ones. If you zoomed out they would look disgustingly flat unlike the ones SAC found

The thing is, as mentioned, it could also be that I may have obtained the discussed mineral piles from an online source somewhere, not at all related to TTDLX... Question would be where...

Yeah, tempted... No but seriously, until it's determined who's behind those graphics they'll stay inside my own .grf's for the time being - including those I made out of the originals...

To be honest there are cases where I was certain someone else had done the work, only to realize later on that someone was me... Well, anyone with access to my so called scrapbook(s) would certainly understand why something like that can happen...
