After probably years of waiting the first release of INFRA New Objects is finally available inside our SimuLibs section, the INFRA Roads.grf. To be followed by many more this file offers custom streetlights, street signs and much more suitable for different terrains and different slopes. Special thanks to wallyweb for the coding of course... Well, interested? Go grab it HERE!

Awesome NewGRF! I just tested and that will surely be on my every game onwards because I love road traffic over any other transport mode in Openttd! I think I will use this mostly paralled with Dutch Road Furniture. Dutch for the bigger motorways and this for the other highways. Though this one is better at NewGRF roads because this doesn't include more lanes to the roads.
(For those who dont know Dutch Road Furniture has 3 lanes on motorways, of course 3rd lane only eyecandy.)

And best of all is of course that more will be added also to this one in the future... But at the moment I'm mostly happy that we're able to actually start the release process once and for all...

Thanks SAC. Thanks a lot. Finally your great artwork started making it out to public and is writing history in the (O)TTD world.

Small organizational questions. - How does the Windows 7 logo relate to anything? It doesn't link to anywhere either. - Why go for RAR? Zip has wider support, 7-Zip compresses better, and at the file sizes we're talking about, you could just do uncompressed and save yourself the trouble.
So much for that, now to try the GRF...

Well, it isn't really a Win7 logo but more so a Win-logo. Perhaps a bit unnecessary but it informs that the .grf in question is available only for Win and not for DOS! As for RAR, I guess it's because that's the one I'm mostly using myself... Still, this could make up for a little poll i guess... I decided to compress the file when I replaced the initial CC-BY-NC-ND license with SL13 instead...

Well, since all "Windows" and "DOS" means here is a few more colors and better palette organization in the latter and, at least in OpenTTD, doesn't affect the user at all, it seems more confusing than useful. ("Microsoft sponsors this GRF? This GRF can only be used on Windows?")

(off-topic) FWIW, I've switched to the DOS palette, as have some other authors.
- a few more colours (mostly greys) - the DOS palette file that I have is a little better organised, so easier to work with - iirc, nmlc encodes in DOS palette by default (this might be FUD, I didn't check docs)
I batch-converted existing files to DOS palette with no problems.

Yeah, that's what I figured... no more extra greys... On the other hand, I can think of a bunch of other colours I would like to use instead - rather than greys I mean...
